Catalan or Català is one of the languages which is part of Romance branch, belong to Indo-European language family. It is the official language in Andorra and a co-official language with Spanish in Catalonia, Balearic Isles and Valencia. Not only in Spain and Andorra but also a part of the population in France in Roussillion Region and Alghero use this language in their daily life. As a distinct language, Catalan first emerged around 10th century around Pyrenees mountains in Europe. Its grammar structure and vocabulary show similarities with other Romance languages such as Spanish, Italian, French and Portuguese.
